  • Here’s some tips for the week before your session that will have you looking and feeling your best:

    1. Eat healthy food and drink lots of water. When you drink water, it has the amazing effect of making your skin look clearer and more youthful. Avoid alcohol and coffee which can make you look drained and dehydrated. Eating healthier food will also help you have more energy and feel more comfortable in your own skin.

    2. Get plenty of rest. Everyone looks their best when they’ve had a good night sleep. Think about waking up on your shoot day with no bags under your eyes. The other plus is you’ll be less stressed and not feel rushed to get ready.

    3. Plan your look. You want to look your absolute best for your session so that you only have to do it once for a long time. That requires planning. Plan out how you want to look and what you want your clothes and style to communicate. Hiring professionals can be a great way to elevate your look from good to great— hairstylist, makeup artist and a personal fashion coach.

    4. Think positively. Pump yourself up the days leading up to the session. Every person is photogenic when they naturally smile and feel confident in who they are. I promise that this will be a fun and painless experience! No negative talk will be allowed when we are together!

  • Here's a few tips that I typically tell people when they are deciding what to wear:

    1. Love it- Pick something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. If you like your outfit, it will definitely come across.

    2. Keep it Simple- The goal of your headshot is to highlight you. It's good to avoid busy patterns, bulky jewelry, fluffy fabric and prominent logos that will distract from your face or that might go out of style in a year or so.

    3. The Right Color- It's important to wear clothing that contrasts your skin tone. If you have a lighter skin tone, avoid white, beige and pastels. If you have a darker skin tone, avoid black and dark shades. Jewel tones are a great option for everyone.

    4. Get Help- If fashion is not your strength, ask a loved one for help or hire our professional stylist, Luisa. You can also bring multiple outfit options to your session so we can choose together.

  • There are a lot of options when it comes to types of headshots. Some companies want solid backdrops and others want a natural setting. Some want a more zoomed our look and some want it cropped very tightly.

I recommend looking through this page and our individual headshot page to find the pictures that you like most. Screenshot those images and send them my way. I am always a resource to you to help you decide what will work best for your brand and photo needs.

  • Headshot day is the perfect time to update your group photo and get some office lifestyle images. Both are available as add-ons to your shoot.

  • Yes! Your team will be given a ton of helpful guidance throughout the entire session. I will direct them through a variety of angles, poses and facial expressions to make sure you have a ton of options to choose from. It's my mission to make them feel as comfortable and confident as possible.

  • All of my packages include retouching that is done to look natural. The number of edits included will be outlined in your quote.

A quality headshot starts with great lighting to make sure that you look your absolute best. In post-processing, I do some blemish removal, erase stray hairs, reduce lines, etc.

  • It typically takes me a week to get your proofing gallery ready. After you select the images you would like edited, it takes about 1-2.5 weeks to retouch the images and get them back to you.

If you need the portraits back within 1-3 days, it can be done for a rush charge of 25% of the overall cost.

  • Depending on your package, your employees may or may not be able to choose their final edit. In some of the more affordable packages, I select the best image for each person. If anyone is unhappy with their image, I am happy to send over another option.

In many of my packages, a proofing process is included. That means your employees will be able to look through all of their shots and choose the picture they want edited.

  • While it depends on your packages, we always take at least 20 pictures per person. We are firm believers that options are key in a photo shoot. We want every person to have a picture that they love and we won’t stop shooting until we feel that we have the shots we need.

  • Depending on the style of pictures you want, we bring a background and multiple professional quality lights with us to each shoot. Depending on the light in your space, we will determine whether natural light or studio light is best for the shoot.

We can also bring a make-up artist along for touch ups if you would like to add that to your package.

  • Usually a medium to large conference room provides the perfect amount of space to set up a studio.

If you do not have enough space at your office, I can also host your team at my studio in downtown St. Louis. Or, we can do outdoor shots as well.
